  1. Like the look of The secret of the old mill better than The Tower treasure.

    With love Helena

  2. Cool! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Both covers look better than I expected – what with them choosing fantasy covers for the Nancy’s! Both are inviting, intriguing & good coloring. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Good artistry by both cover artists. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The Tower Treasure collector cover looks like a cool comic. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I find it fascinating to look at. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I like it. ๐Ÿ™‚ It looks like an action-packed mystery adventure that I would like to read. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Frank & Joe obviously have some trouble on their heels! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I don’t think it’s a good sign that there’s a flock of buzzards following above that car speeding up behind them! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

The Secret of the Old Mill collector cover looks real. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I could happily admire it for hours! ๐Ÿ™‚ The artist did a good job with the setting & detailing. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I really like this cover. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m immediately drawn to the mystery of it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I believe that both of these covers would look great on my Hardy Boys shelves! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Ž (I wouldn’t trade my blue hardcovers for them, though!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ )

    Thanks, Ann! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Appreciating the good things,
    Lily

    • Yep! ๐Ÿ™‚ Lol, same here! ๐Ÿ™‚ Agreed! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I noticed that, too. Lol, that’s scary! ๐Ÿ™‚

      Definitely. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Awesome, Lily! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, absolutely, me, neither – but thankfully, we don’t have to trade ’em! ๐Ÿ™‚

      No problem, Lily! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Thank you, Ann!! ๐Ÿ™‚ The collector covers for the Hardy Boys books (at least these two that I have now seen, thanks to your great work ๐Ÿ™‚ ) fit better than the Nancy series ones do. ๐Ÿ™‚ I prefer the style of The Secret of the Old Mill collector cover to that of The Tower Treasure. I might buy them for my collection. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Callie

    • No problem, Callie! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yep, they do convey an exciting mystery better. Sounds like that one is pretty popular! ๐Ÿ™‚ Cool! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Oh, I love them both! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ I also love the blue-trimmed covers. ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus I love the original covers! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cool! More polls! ๐Ÿ˜€

You do a fine and dandy job supplying info on your blog.:)

    • That’s cool, Mary! ๐Ÿ™‚ Me, too – they’re my favorites!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ That’s great – do you have any originals or do you have any of the Applewood ones? Sometimes you can find good deals at used bookstores or online for the originals or Applewoods. I love seeing pictures from all different years. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Yep! ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m glad they’re so popular, cos they’re fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you so much, Mary, I really appreciate that! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s really fun to talk Hardy and Nancy books with other fans! ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Good! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have some old books; I adore old books! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, I have the Applewood Press books (The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and some other mysteries). ๐Ÿ™‚ I love good cover art! ๐Ÿ˜€ Thanks for the info, Ann. ๐Ÿ™‚

        Yes! ๐Ÿ˜€

You’re welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚ I agree with you on that. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

        • Me, too! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love going to used book sales/stores and looking for treasures and looking for treasures online, too. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Oh, that’s cool that you have them! I haven’t read all the ones I have yet. I found some Judy Bolton last year and I’m looking forward to reading them, also. Have you read them – and are they good? ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, me, too, because truly the cover is important. No problem, Mary! ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Cool! ๐Ÿ˜€ Book sisters! ๐Ÿ˜€ No, I haven’t read the Judy Bolton books yet. Covers are so important in setting the tone for the entire experience of reading the book!

            • Yep, awesome! ๐Ÿ˜€ I found three Judy Bolton ebooks in public domain – The Haunted Fountain, The Yellow Phantom, The Trail of the Green Doll, for free if you want to get them, too, at Project Gutenberg. ๐Ÿ™‚ They have them in various formats you can read on your phone, computer, or tablet – did I mention free? ๐Ÿ˜€ I know it’s not the same as holding the actual book in your hands, but it’s still cool. I haven’t read any of them so I don’t know whether or not they’re any good. ๐Ÿ˜›
Absolutely what you said about covers. If the cover isn’t good, I end up being a little distracted when I see it and having to re-work it in my head as I’m reading.

              • ๐Ÿ˜€ Thanks, book sister! ๐Ÿ™‚ That’d be great for reading on the go! You mean I can’t blame you if they stink? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

                You said it!

                • ๐Ÿ™‚ You’re welcome, Mary! ๐Ÿ™‚ Lollol – that’s exactly what I mean! ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜† It won’t be my bad! ๐Ÿ˜› Hope they’re good though! ๐Ÿ˜€

                  ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

                  • ๐Ÿ™‚ I thought so! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll still have to tease you about it tho. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, I hope they’ll be good, too. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I meant to also say:
These collector covers are far above what I had expected. ๐Ÿ™‚ Good choices. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m glad the company didn’t faux pas on that one. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  6. Nice covers! ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ™‚ The first one looks like a cover of a graphic novel, though, so liked second one better. Much better! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for sharing these, Ann! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Yep! ๐Ÿ™‚ I think it looks like a graphic novel, also. I’d say the second one is getting the most love, but both catch your attention and make you want to read them. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

No problem, Ritu! ๐Ÿ™‚ The other two will be posted soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Better than the Nancys. Looking forward to seeing what the The House on the Cliff and The Missing Chums collector covers look like. Is that Cruella chasing them in the Tower Treasure cover? Looks kinda like her car! ๐Ÿ˜› GO FASTER, BOYS! ๐Ÿ˜€
