Nancy Drew Diaries #16 The Haunting on Heliotrope Lane – Cover Art and Details

Here are the details on the 16th volume of the Nancy Drew Diaries 🙂 ~

Title: The Haunting on Heliotrope Lane
Release Date: Jan 2, 2018
Number of pages: 208
Available Formats: Paperback, Hardcover and eBook

Nancy and her friends must try to figure out why a girl is acting strangely after visiting a haunted house in this sixteenth book of the Nancy Drew Diaries, a fresh approach to the classic mystery series.

Nancy’s classmate, Willa, needs her help. Willa is convinced something is terribly wrong with her friend Izzy, but everyone has dismissed Willa’s concerns, saying it’s just teen angst. But Willa thinks it’s more than that; she thinks Izzy is possessed.

It all started when Willa and Izzy snuck into an abandoned house with some of their friends. After running around and exploring, Willa went in to the basement and found Izzy staring into space. Izzy was conscious, but she was acting weird—she wouldn’t speak and she didn’t seem to recognize Willa. And when Izzy finally woke up from her trance, she had no memory of the previous few hours. Since then, Izzy’s continued to act strangely. She’s usually funny and easygoing, but now she’s high strung and has intense fits. Once she even threatened to hurt Willa.

Nancy is sure there’s a rational explanation for all of this and has a feeling she’ll find it at the “haunted” house. But what she finds has her questioning her resolve. Could Willa be right? Is Izzy possessed by the ghost of Heliotrope Lane?

  1. Thank you for letting us know, Ann. 🙂 Nancy, Bess, and George know that there is criminal activity behind the supposed “haunting” and the associated garbage. It’s good to know that about their intelligence and character. That said, there’s going to be an awful lot of stupid talk in this book and I don’t like reading that kind of junk. So, I probably won’t be getting this one. 😦

  2. I think I’m probably going to skip this one, too, don’t think I’d even read it from the library. 😦
Thanks for letting us know about the upcoming releases, so we can look forward to or skip depending. 🙂

    • The premise doesn’t grab me. Disappointing. But I’ve got plenty of other Nancy Drew books to read that I’ve never read yet and ones to re-read! 😀
I know what you mean. 🙂

      • I’ve read this book and it is really good. It has a big twist to it that I never saw coming. But then again, I love all Nancy Drew books, so I guess you can’t rely on what I say about it.

        • Hi Lizzie! 🙂 Very nice to meet you and thanks for commenting and following my blog! 🙂 It can be really a lot of fun discussing Nancy Drew books, so it’s great to meet another ND fan! 🙂 I’ve been more hopeful for the next volume Nancy Drew Diaries, because this one’s plot just didn’t grab me. Then I read a review which basically said that the Nancy in #16 was superscared and screaming a lot – not acting like Nancy! 😮 My fave Nancy Drew Diaries are #13 The Ghost of Grey Fox Inn and #14 Riverboat Roulette. 😎 Have you read them? And have you read Phantom of Nantucket – I want to read that one cos it looks cool! 🙂

Please leave a reply! Thanks! :)
