Synopsis from publisher:

It’s a case of hidden identities for brother detectives Frank and Joe in the in the eighteenth book in the thrilling Hardy Boys Adventures series.

Ever since the Bayport Times article about their past cases came out, Frank and Joe have been getting calls for help in solving everything from lost keys to lost treasure. The boys can barely stand to answer their phones anymore. But when Principal Gerther calls, they pick up.

Turns out, Principal Gerther’s cousin, Agatha, has noticed a string of strange disappearances in her apartment building. One person after another is entering the apartment next door…and they never come back out. Agatha would know, she never leaves her apartment!

Frank and Joe make some inquiries and realize each and every person that has stayed in apartment B3 has never returned home. What’s worse—most of them have left a trail of debt or angry partners behind them. There are almost too many suspects to count!

Are these two teenage detectives up for the job? Or is The Hardy Boys reputation about to be tarnished?

When I saw the title (and cool cover) I was intrigued and thought it sounded interesting…… After reading the synopsis, it sounds like the room doesn’t vanish though…..Plus, some things don’t add up….idk.
I like mysterious things such as The Hardy Boys #19, The Disappearing Floor. The floor itself wasn’t right there. That’s intriguing. 😎

  1. They certainly seem to be out of touch with who Frank and Joe Hardy are. o_O I wish they would get to know the real Frank and Joe Hardy and write mysteries in keeping with the thrilling adventures of the original series – without relying on goofiness to get the reader through the book. The real books have humor and unique characters without being cornball. Hardy Boys books are mysteries/adventures and this series would need to be designated as comedy/mystery/adventure – Showdown at Widow Creek still seems to be the closest to the real thing.

The cover art is neat to look at. Some of the detailing is pretty cool. I especially like how they put the title on the ledge! 🙂

Thank you for sharing all the information on the book and especially your comments, Ann! 🙂
